Norris' Top Snail

A Norris’ top snail (Norrisia norrisi) on kelp photographed off Parson’s Landing at Catalina Island during its daily journey up the stipe of the kelp towards the surface where it will stay for the evening.  As daytime arrives, the snail will migrate back down towards the bottom of the kelp.
