New Kelp - #4

I've spent countless hours in the shallow Southern California waters taking pictures of kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera). The bulbs (called pneumatocysts) and "leaves" (called fronds) are beautiful examples of patterns in nature, especially where they begin to differentiate as new growth at the top of the kelp.

This photograph has won several awards and was displayed in exhibits including the California Ocean and Coastal Photography Contest and the Best of Nature Photography Show.

Signed original print #6 of 500 is available.
